Canon has finally joined the HDD camcorder league by announcing the all new Canon HG10. The Canon HG10 high-definition camcorder is the first HD camcorder from Canon to record its video on a hard disk drive (HDD).
The feature-rich HG10 AVCHD (Advanced Video Codec High Definition) HDD Camcorder features a Genuine Canon 10x HD Video lens, Canon Full HD CMOS image sensor, Canon's proprietary DIGIC DV II Image Processor, SuperRange Optical Image Stabilization to help correct camera shake during hand-held filming or when the camera is in motion, instant auto focus and 2.7" widescreen multi-angle LCD.

One huge difference that sets the Canon HG10 apart is the addition of a microphone jack. This is a feature missing from many camcorders today, and Canon definitely made the right move in adding it on.
