Acer Announces it's Plans to Release a WM6 Smartphone

Acer WM6 Smartphone
Acer President Gianfranco Lanci recently announced that they will release a WM6 smarphone by the end of this year or possibly early next year.

I already anticipated that when Acer acquired E-10 last month. It became pretty obvious that it would only be a matter of time before they leveraged their purchase to develop a phone of their own.

They also announced that E-10 would leave their PDA business and focus exclusively on smartphones.

Samsung and Armani HDTVs

Samsung and Armani HDTV
After partnering to produce designer cellphones Samsung and Armani have once again partnered for a new range of HDTVs. Sammy and Giorgio launched off the first Armani LCD TVs (46-inch and a 52-inch model) in Milan. Both the models are 100Hz "Full HD" sets, and will ship their stuff in Europe, Korea and Russia this summer. But I saw nothing fashionable about any of the two except for customizable Samsung and Armani logos. It has got two remotes, a mini-pebble for basic functions, and a swankier one that does everything.

No word on the price as yet, but I think it’ll be pretty expensive.

World’s First Fresh Air Powered Motorcycle

World’s First Fresh Air Powered Motorcycle
Jem Stansfield an aeronautics graduate of the University of Bristol claims to have invented the world’s first motorcycle powered by fresh air. He has outfitted a Puch moped with high pressure carbon-fiber air cylinders commonly used by fire fighters as breathing apparatus. In addition to the carbon fiber air cylinder he has used two rotary air engines which are powered by the cylinder enabling the engine to drive the chain at the rear wheel.

The moped has a range of only 7 miles and a top speed of 18 mph and with these specs can’t really dream of becoming a vehicle for trans-continental travel. But according to Jem Stansfield it can surely be used to run a fleet of delivery bikes on it.

It takes only a couple of seconds to refill the air from a larger cylinder and the moped produces cleaner air than found in many town and city centres and so can actually reduce pollution.

Jabra BT4010 Bluetooth Headset
Jabra has just announced its new BT4010 Bluetooth headset with a feature that sets it apart from all the others: a tiny LCD screen. This LCD screen makes it more user friendly when compared to the blinks of an LED. With that one addition, decoding what your headset is up to is no longer a game of flashing lights or beeps. The tiny LCD displays you when it's connected, when there's a call, and how full its battery is. This lightweight device weighs only 10 grams.

No word on price or launch date.
