Panasonic Launches First Touch-Screen Lumix Digital Camera

Panasonic has recently launched a new touch screen digital camera called LUMIX FX500 which comes with a 3-inch touch screen LCD and 25mm ultra-wide-angle Leica DC lens, 10.1MP resolution, and face detection. It also features a 5x optical zoom, auto focus tracking and the ability to record HD video (1280 x 720p) content and still photos with a 16:9 aspect ratio.

The FX500 has a hybrid control system that combines joystick control with touch-screen operation, so users can make fine adjustments by touch, using their finger, or the stylus-pen that comes with the camera. To help correct photos from being under- or over-exposed, the FX500 instantly analyzes the framed image and adjusts the brightness in areas that are too dark because of dim lighting, backlighting or the use of the flash.

Apart from the amazing features listed above Lumix FX500 comes with digital red eye correction, intelligent ISO and intelligent scene selector.

Priced at $399.95, it is expected to be available in black and silver models starting this May.
